Hey there friends and family!
I’m amazed how warm it is in October!! The weather is gorgeous, and I honestly love when the wind has a slight chill in the midst of the heat. I hope you’ve been able to take time to rest, to be with family, and hopefully have some creative time.
The other day I was inspired by my garden and my growing baby- about all the ways God is gardening and orchestrating things to grow… and I get to “help”. My contribution is tiny compared to the great Creator and Designer God, and yet He includes us. He wants to partner with us. (I wrote a semi long poem about it!)
He’s forming every detail of this baby within my womb, and I simply have to make sure I keep eating, sleeping and moving too.
Plants in my garden grow and produce tomatoes because of His rain and breath in every living thing, and I just have to weed and protect them from animals.
I’m amazed at our creator God.
This goes along with our upcoming Retreat’s Theme: ABIDE.
We will be taking time to meditate on what it means to Abide with the Lord, like John 15 describes. He wants to PARTNER with us, we are children made in His creative image.
This retreat is Nov. 20th & 21st. There will be the option to focus on songwriting or visual art. We will have collaboration, time of silent reflection and meditation, and worship, and of course- CREATING! It’s going to be such a sweet time, I hope you can come! And if you want to be even MORE inspired! Come to our art show!! My mom and I both have art in this show, along with a total of 10 local artists. All the art is Jesus/Biblically inspired, full of beauty and life. Come! Nov. 14th, 1-7pm
Creative Challenge- Look around you and ask the Lord where He is moving and working and how you either can 1. Create something inspired by it, or 2. Partner with what He’s already doing. :)
Thank you all again for your continued support. My current work is meeting with people weekly, zoom calls, meeting with other artists, meeting with Pastors, and planning this upcoming retreat and art show. Thank you for your continued prayers! And growing this baby :)
